Opening its doors officially in 2009, DesignMe was founded by two young entrepreneurs looking to improve the marketability of both large and small organizations while maintaining core social values. As such, the founders are passionate at providing clean code that is fast, scalable and accessible to all. We also strive to provide discounted services to qualifying non-profit or green organizations through The DesignMe Foundation. As a fellow green company, we realize how difficult it is to provide a valuable service while maintaining your core philosophies. For that reason, we want to reward green companies and non-profits for their hard work.
Before its inception, the founders worked as independent consultants for companies around the United States offering valuable development services to their clients. However, we noticed how quickly development costs code add up and providing custom code for every individual became very time consuming and also could not possibly provide ample functionality at an affordable price. Tim Barnes President and Co-Founder
In an effort to bring high quality consulting designs to customers, Tim created a personable work environment with a team of experts that demonstrate professionalism and creativity in every venture the company takes on. Originally beginning his career in mental health, Tim has moved into the exciting and fast-paced community of web development to explore creative outlets and exercise his talent in technology. He holds a SB in Psychology from Susquehanna University and an MS/MPH from the University of Virginia and George Mason University.
Joe Geraghty Co-Founder
Joe began his career in web programming over 8 years ago. He has worked on a variety of products ranging from long-term contracts with major clients to small, yet elegant designs for upcoming businesses. He holds his bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Virginia and will soon be pursuing a degree in law. Since its inception, Joe has been an integral part of des.ign.me in both the realm of business operations and web development. He currently resides in Woodbridge, Virginia.
Jim Davidson Advisor
Jim is online executive with 15 years experience leading and growing technology teams. He currently serves as President of Examiner.com in Denver, CO. Before the Examiner, Jim served as interim CEO of Laborfair and CTO of Nextumi, the creators of the rapidly growing ShareThis Internet sharing solution. Before Nextumi, Jim spent 12 years at AOL leading teams responsible for several online properties including Digital City, Moviefone, MapQuest, AOL.com, and more. Jim holds a bachelors of Science degree in physics from the University of California Santa Barbara.
